About Puppet Hockey

Puppet Hockey is ragdoll / puppet hockey. Sticks flop, the puck still counts.

How To Play Puppet Hockey

Sweep, do not windmill

A huge swing misses and opens the slot.

Cover the five-hole

Puppet keepers leak low.

Pass if a teammate is actually facing the puck

A puppet facing the glass is not an option.

Gameplay Experience

Small sided

You see the ball the whole time. There is nowhere to hide a bad touch.

Goals are cheap if you rush

A funny fall that leaves the puck in the net is still 1-0.

Rematches are the mode

These games are built to play again immediately.

Gameplay Mechanics

Move / kick / jump

If a header exists, it is a jump. If a shot exists, it is a kick button.

Keeper

Some games give you one. Do not leave the line to join the pile.

Special

A charged shot is for an open look, not a 40-yard hope.

Tips & Strategies

  • 01

    First touch toward the goal

A fancy touch into traffic is a turnover.

  • 02

    Shoot when they plant

Short passes. Long saucers become turnovers.

  • 03

    Stay goal-side on defense

Chasing the ball past your own man is how you get chipped.

  • 04

If it is 2v2, one stays

Both attacking is an empty net.
